Sandhill Cranes

I drove up to Crex Meadows earlier in the week for some early fall bird photography. There are large numbers of Sandhill cranes in the area already. This was an early morning shot of cranes lifting off on their morning flight to the feeding grounds. This was a little unusual because of the light.

Nice, it would have been a good shot even without the cranes.

I thought they would have already started south by this time. Nice capture of the Cranes, Phil.
