Half Dome from atop Sentinal Dome
This shot is from last summer... my first trip to Yosemite. I quickly leared that the only way to escape the masses in the summer was to find the high country.

Fuji S2 Pro
Sigma 20mm
f22, 1.5s

Yes... I know that the FG will appear soft. I had to save the image at a low JPG quality to get it under 200kb. The source is fine.

You have captured some nice light here. I really like the foreground but feel that somehow this composition is making Halfdome look tiny and insignificant. Not that its a bad thing, but that famous landmark seems lost in the background. In a large print things might be different though.

Christian -- Well done...I am heading out to Yosemite on the 30th (my first trip as well). Although I won't be in the high country I am looking forward to the trip and the chance to capture a bit of the parks beauty.

There's plenty of great stuff in the valley and lower parts. But, in the summer it is just dreadful with tourists, buses, trams, traffic jams, etc.
