It must be the season for experimentation. I'm not sure why maybe it it's the summer doldrums. A few weeks ago I was getting ready to photograph some birds from my front window. It started to rain and the rain blasted against the windows. I couldn't photograph the birds but as the rain cleared from the windows I decided to try and photograph some raindrops. I got to thinking that this would be fun to do in the field since the shots from my window were rather limited. After thinking about it a while I came up with a list of supplies and went out into my prairie area to try it out.
This is one of my test shots taken of a patch of Wild Bergamot taken in the prairie. It was a fun project with some potential for future photography.
I've described my project in greater detail on my Blog

Thanks for sharing! I've been considering rain/pane photography for a while now. You've inspired me to get off my duff!
