I will be there Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29. Due to events out of my control, I will have to head back to Columbus Sunday morning.
The grounds Fernwood does not open until 10 am on Friday and Saturday and noon on Sunday. Plan to meet at the parking lot shortly after opening. I will be pretty easy to spot - red hair and glasses. Admission to the gardens is $6.00 per adult, with a fair number of reciprocal agreements with other institutions.
Lunch will probably be at the gardens. They have a cafeteria with a reasonable selection of items. Nothing gourmet, but certainly a nice break after shooting for a few hours.
Both days, assuming cooperation of the weather, I plan to shoot at the gardens until closing. An evening location, or maybe just a long dinner, is planned for both Friday and Saturday.
I will be staying at Motel 6 in South Bend, Indiana. Rates are 32.39 for each night. Phone is 574-272-7072, but use their website for making reservations if you chose this option. It is a couple of bucks cheaper throught the website. For those of you not familar with the locations, the motel is about 7 miles and one state line away.

I will be away from the computer for the next 10 days or so.

As much as I was looking forward to this outing, my plans have changed and I will be returning from TN on the 29th and won't be back until late in the day Hopefully I can make it next time!

I've got to work Friday, but I'll try to be over there on Saturday. I only live about 25 miles from Fernwood and I've not been there since starting to take pictures. It should be fun. It's an awesome place.

Sorry about that, a sequence of events occured that made it impossible for me to attend. I apologize. I really wanted to be there. Hope you all had a good time and got some great shots.

Fernwood is definitely worth the trip. It is a couple of hundred acres and I never really got more that 75 yards from the main entrance.
