In late June, 2002, I was enjoying one of my favorite parks in Madison, Cherokee Marsh, when I happened upon some wild irises. I took a few pictures then and had one enlarged/printed and it now hangs in my home. One of the reasons that irises & Cherokee Marsh are so special for me is because I met my wife a few days later...

This morning, I went to Cherokee Marsh for the first time in a couple of years, and this is the first time that I've timed the iris bloom with my visit since 2002. And, I took our two children with me, although their whining took a bit of an edge off of the pleasure... ;)

All the images show the design that is in an Iris bloom. I saw no details that were influenced by whining in the least.

Dear Tim,

I was looking forward to looking at your wild iris images but when clicking on the link zenfolio said the page could not be found.

Hey Bill,

Try it now... I'm not certain why the link changed - some issue with Zenfolio that I've not seen before...

You captured some interesting shots in spite of the distractions. Kids can't be any worse than my cat. When he comes out with me every time I try and take a shot he rubs up against the camera or the subject.
