Hi fellow New England photographers!
I emailed Jim a few days ago about joining NENP and he said I should post something saying hello and introducing myself! So here goes:
I'm a 19 year old photographer from Upstate New York who will be starting my second year at Bates College in Lewiston Maine this fall. I plan on majoring in geology as it is an interesting major that allows me to travel throughout the Northeast and even around the country (I just spent a month camping in Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado and recieved class credit! ) Of course this allows me to pursue my real passion- nature photography, which is what I hope to pursue after college. I guess as of now I haven't really found my niche- I do landscapes, macro, wildlife, and avian photography, although I think my favorites are the wildlife and avian shots...
I look forward to working with all of you in the next year, I think it will be a great experience to photograph with such talented people! I'm sure I'll learn a ton! Thanks again!

Since you just got done camping around the southwest and got credit for it then there are probably a few things I would like to learn from you!
Welcome to the Northeast group, I hope we will have lots of opportunities to shoot all th ebest places in New Englend.
Welcome, Cam! You're in the right place. My son, a keen scenic photographer especially of mountain landscapes, majored in Geology and found this to be of great help with his photography. Looking forward to seeing your work.
