Trumpeter Swan
I shot this Trumpeter Swan earlier in the week on my spring trip to Crex Meadows. Normally you don't get this close to them but for some unknown reason a pair of swans were sitting in the road and refused to move.

This visit had a number of memorable highlights including a large number of goslings, watching a controlled burn in the meadows, sighting a family of beavers, some strange goose behavior and an encounter with a black bear.

More information on the trip on my Blog and more photos on my Website.

Phil,

Really like this one. That blue sky pops around this beautiful bird.
