Goslings
My wife and I keep an eye on a pair of geese at a local wildlife area every spring so I know when they start nesting and about when they will hatch. Last week I went out to check on them. One pair had already hatched but the other pair was on the nest. I could tell something was up the way she was moving around the nest. It was over 80 degrees and she was panting. Finally she stood up to give the goslings some air. It looked like three of them were hatched. She dropped her wing to shield them from the sun.

The second photo is of the hatched goslings that were swimming around the pond.

Such a good mom. The pic of the little ones is just precious. The one looking right at you catches the heart strings, doesn't it? Very nicely done.

Ours here have gone from cute to gangly. Good shots as usual.

Very, very nice! I'm hoping to find some similar opportunities in the next few days...
