Thanks all for the suggestions. This will be our first go at this. Lets see. The Challenge will be to come up with Painterly looking images using whatever process or subject you prefer. When you post your image let us know if it is for the Monthly Challenge and a brief or long explanation of how you created it. You can post as many Challenge images you want during the month of May. Remember this Challenge is only for those who want to do it and it is not a requirement. I hope this will be fun and challenging for all who decide to get involved. I am really looking forward to seeing the results. Have fun and let the creativity begin.

Painterly, heck I can barely push the button my camera without making it shake.

David, question???

Does a technique that looks as if it has been engraved or done as a woodcut count as painterly?

Thanks,

Carol

Carol in answer to your question, as long as it looks like a painting then yes.

I think you just post on the gallery and mention somewhere, either in the title or in your post, that it is for the May Challenge.
