I hope you and yours came through the storms ok. Here in Kentucky we where lucky but just south of us in Tennessee in the Tri-Cities area I understand there was significant damage.

Surprisingly. little or nothing happened in the Knoxville area Wednesday 4/27. The surrounding areas were not so fortunate though, with quite a bit of storm damage but thankfully no injuries or deaths that I've heard of. The storms Monday night were much worse in my neighborhood, with straight-line winds bringing down many limbs, power lines, and trees.

Cheers, Steve

The storms were pretty bad here in the Tri-Cities area of Tennessee. No damage at my house but several people were killed in the surrounding area. We've never had anything like that in the 30 years I've lived here.

We were blessed in Northern Virginia. We had heavy thunderstorms with tornado watches and warnings with some sightings but not much damage. What was odd though, is we had tornado watches which last throughout the night to 3 p.m. Thursday and repeated warnings. I had to keep on top of them to be sure we'd be safe. Never experienced this before.

Prayers for those who were affected by all the storms this week. Sad to see so much damage.

I saw some funnel clouds near Oilville, VA Wednesday evening that were quite amazing. One did become a tornado but I didn't see that. None of it compares to the videos of what went through Alabama.

Greetings..
Utilities are slowly returning to the Huntsville and northern Alabama area as the crews can get things back together.. Luckily we were only without utilities and they were restored about 30 minutes ago. Many others in the surrounding areas were not so lucky.
Good luck to others in the SENP area.

Looks like several miles of trails in the Smokies are closed due to a tornado that passed through.
