Photo locations in/near Birminham??

I'm headed to Birminham mid April and would like some pointer for landscape or wildlife spots. I need to know whether to bring my gear and what type to bring.

Any and all pointers will be appreciated!!

Try Double Oak Mountain (Google maps). Also Oak Mountain State Park.
