If you happen to be monitoring this, please take a look at Barbara Graham's recent collage post in Flora. My thought is that it could go on either gallery. Comments on the images in the collage can be solicited on Flora but comments on collage in general and this one in particular are better suited to Photo Art. (You can read my comment on the image and see what you think.)
I'm also agreeable to an argument that by definition a photo collage should be posted on Photo Art while the individual image elements are appropriate to post on Flora.
Late to the party but I do agree with how this played out. If I recall correctly Photo Art started out as Photo Art & Series but so few folks availed themselves of the series part that it just evolved into Photo Art. I actually would have been OK with keeping Barbara's post in Flora since the individual elements weren't manipulated. There are some folks who post small images so why not allow three small images in the same frame? I'm really being more devil's advocate here than supporting the practice. I have seen folks post a triptych on rare occasion that I thought was OK to keep in Flora.
I had thought about having a series theme in Flora but what might be more appropriate would be to have a series/collage theme but encourage folks to post it in Photo Art as kind of a collaborative effort. >=))>
I'm ok with triptychs or collages, so long as the person wants comments on the individual images. Of course they can post the images individually as well if that's the case. The collage aspect of it or any kind of compositing just strikes me as photo art and I don't feel like I know enough about it to make worthwhile comments. The theme idea could be fun though.
