Pardon me, but I just have to gloat a little today. I just walked in from lunch and it is so gorgeous here in Pensacola, FL today. The temp is 73 degrees, a nice breeze is blowing, and the birds were singing beautifully while I sat in my truck and enjoyed a leisurely hour off.
I gloat now because before long the miserably hot and humid weather we Floridians suffer through in summer will be here. I assure you I won't be gloating then!

Come late June when it's 75, sunny, and dry here, I'll give you a response...

Ah Bill, I grew up on the panhandle and miss the spring and fall the most. But we had a nice breeze this morning too. And 7 degree temps to boot.

Bill, keep those lovely temps holding for me for about 3 weeks when I make my first ever trip to Florida! It's been a mild winter here, but we've got more snow on the way.

Bill it is hard to feel badly for you for your up and coming summer humidity, it is -27 and wind chill of -35 here today. A man could get hurt sprouting temps above zero these day!!! Cheers enjoy your lovely warm day !!
I guess no place is perfect!
There are "wonderful" times and "ick - horrid" times everywhere. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to follow the good seasons around?
Actually, that was what I had planned before my mother became ill last year. That's now on hold for awhile, but still my goal later on - nice RV + Texas, Sanibel, Fl, Vermont, Banff , AK - all in the best times if the year.
Enjoy the nice stuff this week!

Yeah baby I can't wait to get to Corkscrew, etc and enjoy the sun and fun, and the fantastic beach sunsets! SO gloat away...I'll be gloating with you very soon! BTW, thanks, Bill, for your Florida scapes. I always enjoy them.
PS...DId you enjoy a glass of wine or beer while sitting in the truck?!!! I know I would

Bill, thanks for helping me appreciate the same situation here, 68 and gorgeous sunny. I'll remember this post when it hits 117 and cools off to a balmy 101 by 2am once July hits.

Id go nuts if the weather were the same more than a couple days in a row. Although i kind of enjoyed the 60 degree year round weather of N CA--cause you could always drive inland a couple miles to get back to either 30s or 80s...

Hi Bill
A little farther down the coast, our weather this week has been ideal. I don't know how all those snow people survive.
BTW, in my youth, many many years ago, I spent some happy times in your area. My grandmother lived on Santa Rosa Sound near a little place called Mary Esther.
