When a magazine sends out a want list with a deadline in less than a week how do they generally want the submissions? I shoot digital so would I just email them or send a cd? I have never had this oppurtunity and need to act quickly.
Thanks!
Best thing to do is contact them or look at their website for guidelines. Even if you send a CD it will take a few days to get there. I suppose if you have a high speed connection you could email them thumbnails.
you can also create a "digital lightbox" and upload it to your website. Photoshop can make some pretty decent web galleries.
Like Randy said, though, check with the magazine to see what they want.

These days, unless they are specifically requesting film in their guidelines, I'd assume they want low res jpegs for preview. If you have a few images, it's usually Ok to send as attachments in an email. If you have more than 6-10 images, usually an editor will prefer a lightbox with a link sent by email.
A week, huh? 70% of the research requests are in the 2-3 day range. A week is pretty generous for timing.
