I won't be back 'til the weekend of the 15/16th, but things should be going well by then.

Anyone up for a trip? Probably somewhere in the Antelope Valley, Gorman Hills, Carizzo Plains, etc?

I'm headed to Norcal for the 7th-9th, so I am totally open for that weekend to travel to the desert. I just took my 3rd trip out there today. Maybe Carrizo will be hopping by then, too.

I'll be down in SoCal running my workshop on April 7-10, and I plan on being back down there again on April 16 to possibly April 18 to visit family, maybe I can sneak away.

Hopefully this info will help you guys...I was at Carizzo yesterday for sunrise and checked out the western hillside in the middle of the plains that was great last year. I just don't see it happening this year. I then bolted for AV taking a risk but going on Timothy's report on Carol's wildflower site.

So in contrast to the promising growth that I saw in the NW section of the AV, I saw very little in Carizzo.

I am itching to get down to the Carizzo Plain, but I can't get away that weekend. I'm stuck in San Francisco that weekend. The following weekend would work better for me.

AV sounds like the most fun. Though I'll be in Louisville.
