We are in the process of setting up the NPN Regional Groups with their own dedicated IC gallery. The galleries are just like the main NPN IC galleries with thumbnail pages - we have thus far set up the CANP and PNWNP groups with the dedicated galleries (see the main Galleries menu at the top of the page).
The idea is that all photos (with the exception of those posted for ID or illustrative purposes) would be posted in the NENP IC gallery and all topics of discussion would be posted here in the NENP Discussion Forum.
Photos posted in the new NENP IC Gallery would also appear in the All Photos Gallery and could also be added to your personal galleries.
If you would like to have a dedicated IC gallery, please let me know and we can get it set up for this group very quickly!

Sounds great Jim but it's pretty darn quiet around here these days! Maybe that will get people contributing more?

I have an idea that would make this fun. Let's have a contest between the regions. Have each region conduct a contest that depicts their region the best that would include quality, composition, etc. Then enter that photo in a forum wide contest. Let's have a prize ie, a years free membership, a free ball cap, or something else from the store. Have a grand prize, 1st, 2nd and so on. What are yours thoughts on this?

I am a Michigan guy, member of the Midwest Forum. But I spend a lot of time in NE photographing and was a long-time Vermonter. Just trying to make sure the "nettiquete" is proper. Is posting in these new regional photo galleries limited to members of the forum only, or can a Midwesterner post a Vermont photo here?

I think the NENP members would welcome posting and participation in the NENP forum since you are a North East native, and you spend a good deal of time here. We are always interested in seeing images from the area, particularly when seen through a different set of eyes.

Thanks, Jim: Actually, I cannot call myself a native. I was born in Nebraska, but have lived in Northern Michigan since I was 3 and in Southern Michigan since about age 27. In between, I spent many summers in Vermont, and lived there for about 4 years. I feel like a native -- but I actually fit the "carpetbagger" description. I will post a image or two.
