Just thought to re-introduce myself as I did so quite sometime ago but have not been able to jump into the discussions as often as I would have liked. So...
I live in the Sacramento area and have been active in photography for just short of a year. As such, I look forward to learning alot from the forum's participants and your comments/critiques. Although, I will admit to a bit of nervousness regarding posting an image here in light of the great work that you all post. So, when I do post something...be kind but please comment as I really do wish to learn.
On a related note, I would appreciate any comments others might have regarding the Ansel Adams Galleries workshops as I am considering taking one of the upcoming workshops by Michael Frye to help with my learning curve.
I look forward to interacting with you all and seeing your future images.

Hi and welcome, Bishop. I'm in Chico...not too far away.
Hi Greg -- I was beginning to wonder if anyone was here... Thanks for your welcoming...I had a chance to look at your website. I really like your Lone Tree and Storm Clouds image and appreciate your artist's statement as well. Look forward to more of your images!

Welcome Bishop. You said you've only been into photography for a year? Your work looks on a much higher level that your experience would typically indicate. Very simple compositions and shapes in your portfolio.
Richard -- actually been just under a year (a week of two to go) I appreciate your comments and must admit I am selective as to what is posted and also know I have much to learn as well. I had a quick chance to look at your website...very nice work indeed (hopefully you will get to take that 50 year vacation!). I look forward to your posts and learing from your comments/critiques as well.

Thanks for the compliments Bishop. Perhaps 50 years is a bit excessive, might get bored at a young age. But it never hurts to dream right?
William Neill talks about selective editing your work to make a portfolio of images appear more powerful and I think you have done a really good job at that.
Anil -- Thanks for your note and your comments...they led me to your site and your fantastic work. Much to like on your site. I look forward to seeing more of your work and to your comments on my efforts in the future.
Youseef -- Thank you for your welcoming and your kind words! I came across your website sometime ago and really appreciate your images...alot of fine work. Thanks again!
