I photographed this tree on a early Saturday morning a couple weeks ago after a couple days of good rain and on my way to do some waterfall hunting. Warm temperatures and abundance of moisture created some thick fog in the lower valleys and the rising sun gave an excellent tone to the fog.

Location: Washington County Missouri

Canon EOS 5D
Canon 70-200mm F/4
Shutter Speed: 1/500 second
F Number: F/16.0
Focal Length: 200 mm
ISO Speed: 250

I like this, Mark - very effective use of light and shadow, and the corner burning really draws you into the subject. Nice job! Thanks for posting!

I really like this Mark. You've created a great mood with the fog and color and the contrasts of the two trees seals the deal. Really well done!
