The very best guidebook to trees of Arkansas is being written as we speak by none other than Don Kurz who frequents this message board (it will be available in about a year) - I'll see if he will ID this one for ya...
The other Tim forwarded your question to me. It is a wild plum, probably Prunus americana. A little too early for a positive i.d. because the leaves are not fully expanded. Having the fruit also helps but it is a wild plum and probably P. americana because that is the most common one.
Best, Don

Thanks guys! Do I need to prepurchase this book or just wait?
I'll let Ernst answer your question about prepurchasing the book since he is the publisher.
If you need a tree book in the meantime, you could purchase one of my Missouri tree books at http://www.mdcnatureshop.com/mdc.cgi I have a large, comprehensive Trees of Missouri book and a smaller field guide version that just came out last month.
