Roanoke River Kayak trip

Hi everyone, this is a request for info. I'm planning a kayak trip on the Roanoke River starting in Williamston and camping on platforms. Has anyone ever paddled thru this area? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Well did the Roanoke River camping at two different primitive platforms.Here are a couple of shots from the trip.
