Hi Everyone!
Just wanted to introduce myself. Like many other newbies, I have been lurking for months! Now that spring is here, I figured I should get on & join!
I am relatively new the the field of photography. A lover of nature & the great outdoors, I have always packed a camera with me to capture my favourite places & feelings, but only in the last 6 months or so, have I had the desire to turn my hobby into something deeper, so I've been reading, surfing, trying & absorbing info like a sponge to learn more about real photography techniques (as opposed to 'that's pretty *click*' I know I have a lot to learn but I'm excited with every new step I make!
Unfortunately, like many nature lovers, I do have to contend with that weekday 'desk job'so I can afford to play on the weekends. Now that spring is here, before & after work become photographic play time too! And fortunately, I have lots of spare moments DURING work, where I can come in to this site & absorb info off great photographers like you guys!
Welcome to NPN, Becky! Look forward to your participation.

Thanks everyone for the welcomes
I live in the southernmost interior of British Columbia in Osoyoos, just on the border above Washington. Wine Country!! I love it here! The mountains & valleys & lakes are my backyard!
Yes, I have heard of other "Wolfe" photographers but know them not!! Still rather new to the name myself (only been married since July)
Welcome to NPN, Becky. My wife and I are planning a trip to the Okanagan this April. I have several Provincial Parks in mind that are open in April but nothing definite decided yet. The only sure thing (almost) is that we are going. You live in a beautiful part of BC. I hope the trees are in blossom when we get there.
Welcome Becky, and any other "Lurkers" around out there. ( Gee that almost sounds perverted. )
Married huh, well, "Another one bites the dust!"
The only advise from me is to post your images and you'll learn a lot here.
GOOD SHOOTING!

Welcome, Becky. You live in a pretty spot, so half of photography is already done for you.

Hi Becky. Spring IS here? I am in Michigan looking out my window at cloudy skies and a 1/4 of new snow overnight <g>. I call this the "brown" season. Others call it the "mud" season. I did hear a male Red Winged Blackbird singing his territorial song in Southwestern MI last Saturday---so maybe there's hope? Welcome, from an occasional poster. You'll find lots of great information here--and probably make a few friends along the way.

Thats a bummer Andy! I photographed some buttercups today
Yes, its still mostly the 'brown' season here but on the very edge of becoming GREEN! I can't wait!
Kent, you are right. Can't go wrong in any direction I point a camera around here. Now I'm just striving on pointing it correctly!

As I'm sure you know from your lurking, this is a good place to learn. I joined some time ago, but I'm still mostly a lurker.

Welcome to NPN! Isn't there another pretty good nature photographer names Wolfe? Any relation?
