Nikon 18-200mm F5.6 VR lens

Anyone have knowledge of the new Nikon 18-200mm f5.6 VR lens? I've been told by camera store clerks that it is one of the best lenses Nikon has made for digital. Not sure if this istrue or ljust "hype" to sell the lens. I would appreciate any comments. Thanks

Thom Hogan just reviewed it and really likes it. I think I'm going to get one for travel and backpacking.

Read the review by Thom Hogan - as Mark said Thom loved it. And FWIW, it is really an 18-200/3.5-5.6, though admittedly it isn't a 3.5 lens for very long (I think by the time you rack out to 70 mm it's a 5.6 lens).
