My Website: Smokies
WIth the assistance of Jesse Speer and Jack Brauer I have at last created my own website that includes gallery pages on the Smokies and on Shenandoah. http://www.edfuhr.com I welcome any comment or suggestions!

I spent a few hours Sunday morning in Cades Cove in the Smoky Mountains. The fog was lifting and the fields were freshly baled. I am not sure I really got everything I was envisioning but its always a neat place at sunrise before the hordes arrive. A few other images are here: http://www.edfuhr.com/gallery/smokies-2010/

I like this shot of the cove. You've got layers going on between the field, trees and fog. The fence makes a nice diagonal and the bales are very interesting with the side light. Only nit is there is a lot going on (all good, but a lot in one photo).

You lucked out on the conditions. I was in the cove Wednesday morning at sunrise and there was no fog, then it starting pouring at 10 AM.

Ed, I will echo everyone else and with a great site. Easy to navigate and follow. Lovely photo as well. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments, guys. Richard, after looking at your comment I think cropping down from the top into the top of the fog might help simplify. Am not sure the trees above the fog are needed here. Many thanks for all the comments and happy fall shooting!

Very nice Ed.

Interesting I too was at Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons Schawbackers Landing (Aug28 through Sept 8th) What a great place. :toast:

Great looking site and images, Ed. Looks like you captured a fabulous morning in the Cove. I'd keep the trees, but might crop those solitary bales on the right side.
