The turtle on the alligator
This is a very bad photograph in every way, which is very sad, but still I thought you might like seeing the event. The alligator is on a nonworking pond aerator.

Nature's way of providing a knapsack lunch!

I think this turtle is a contender for this year's "Darwin Awards".

In case you've never heard of this award, go to www.darwinawards.com
Their mission is to commemorate those who improve our gene pool by (accidentally) removing themselves from it. The Award is generally bestowed posthumously.

This has got to be a very brave, or the dummest turtle ever. Did you hang around to see if the gator had him for lunch. Thanks for sharing.

:) :) :) Jackie, no, I didn't, but this was a few months ago, and a couple of weeks ago my husband saw him with another turtle in his mouth. I told him (my husband, not the gator) that I didn't want any details at all. I know that gators have to eat, too, but I just don't want the details. :)
