This year's wildflower shoot will be held the weekend of April 29 to the 30'th, in Niles, Michigan. The primary attraction of this area is Fernwood Gardens, which should have numerous flowers to shoot, both wild and cultivated. I anticipate shooting this area primariy on Saturday, so this can be a day trip for those of you based in Michigan, northern Indiana and Northwest Ohio.

For those unfamilar with where this city is located, it is approximately half-way between South Bend, Indiana and Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Additional locations, for Friday and Sunday shooting, are being researched, with suggestions welcome.

I will be posting more details for motels, camping info and directions soon, most likely prior to Monday afternoon.

Fernwood has a website, www.fernwoodbotanical.org - it's a beautiful preserve and should be very productive!

There are several Michigan state parks fairly close, including Warren Dunes. This is a wooded park with large dunes along Lake Michigan, similar to Indiana Dunes S.P.
