Most of my lenses are either past or nearing the end of their warranty coverage. Canon want's over $300 to even look at my 100-400mm IS lens. I live in a "Nikon" town with no local Canon repairmen. Anyone have a good economical and trustworthy repair facility they would like to share for future reference?

I have used them a couple of times: Once to calibrate a spot meter, and another to replace the bellows on my 4x5. I was very pleased with the quality of the work, their service, and pricing.
I haven't had any lens work done in a while, but insist on an evaluation and estimate before the work commenses, even if you have to pay for it. Our insurance covers repairs, but even without the insurance I would certainly want the opportunity to tell the shop "no thanks" if the expense is going to be so high, it might make more sense to replace the lens.
