Just sorting through my images for my new web site, and thought this one is a nice shot, don't see many of these in flight during the day.
This was taken in Finland last year.
Canon EOS 1DS mkII
Canon 500mm IS USM

Well captured Brian,
I like these head-on owl shots, as they seem to suit owls particulary well.
Maybe a slightly tighter crop would improve the overal image to my eye, as the highlights at the top of the frame slightly compete maybe.
Nicely taken

I had to check this was differant to a short one, but I see the eye colour is differant. I've yet to see one in the wild, amazing stuff.

Hi Brian
Nice shot you don't see many images of wild birds in flight, perhaps a tighter pano frame would improve the presentation!
