Could any one please explain how one prints a signature on an image in either PS4 of LR for posting to this site? I'm somewhat of a simpleton and can't figure it out.

See this thread in the general forum.

Basically: use the Text tool to add a copyright line as a new layer in PS. Use "Option-G" on a Mac to get the copyright symbol. Pick a font and choose the size with the proper color. Use the Move tool to reposition the text if necessary.

If you want something a little more advanced - say your name in a nice font with a drop shadow the best way I found is by searching in youtube "how to make watermark in CS4" or "how to make copywrite in PS" or "how to create signature in Photoshop" etc. etc. You will get some extremely useful results that take you step by step through the process.

If you want to use your own signature, you can scan it in, and then select it and save it as a brush (darned if I can remember just how though). Then you can select the brush, size it appropriately for the pic, and click it right on.

Moreover, once you know the step by step process for creating the watermark you want, you can record the steps for creating it in an "Action." Then everytime you want to put a water mark on an image all you have to do is press one button and it created for you. If anyone wants to know how to record and save an Action, just let me know. They are great time savers for things you do a lot over and over again in PS. Cheers.
