Another Duck ID required.
Came across this pair at my local ponds on a Snowy Friday morning. The green head made me think Mallard, but the body colours don't match, is this some kind of hybrid?. Thanks in advance to anyone who can ID these.

One more.

This bird's ancestors were once mallards. Since then, it has likely hybridized with some domesticated ducks and this is what you get.

We call them "mutant ducks," Mallards crossed with domestics, blacks and who knows what. Looks like you are still having winter in Colorado.

Actually these mallards were crossed with other mallards most likely, given that most domestic "breeds" of ducks are all mallards (Anas platyrhynchos), but have been bred for different traits like all white feathers, or tuffs on top of their heads. In the feral state they all just breed here and there with other domestic mallards and form birds like you see in this image. A non-mallard domestic would be Muscovy ducks. Just FYI.
