Hi,

I hope I am not repeating a question. I went through the topics but am still a little frustrated on pricing for prints sold on my website.

How do you figure a good price to charge for a print? I read somewhere to charge 5X the cost to make it. Currently, I use a lab for my prints. I pay for the print and the shipping costs. Do I take the print cost + Shipping Cost and multiply by 5 or just the print X 5 + shipping?

Thank you for your advice.

Here's a suggestion. Look at others' websites and see how they have priced their prints, or check out art/craft fairs. That will at least put you in the ball park. That's what I did and finally just took a stab at it.

I had the same dilemma recently, and (despite fiddling around with two currencies) I turns out that the 5X is exactly what I did - not that I planned it that way. My 5X-price included packing and postage as registered package though, and the client was happy with it. If you want to make some real profit, you might add postage on top of the 5X.
