6 WOW (I hope I'm not late)

Hi,

This is my contribution to 6 WOW, I'm not sure whether I'm late or not. :confused: Just kick me off if I'm too late :rolleyes: This was taken earlier this week on the Merrimack. I was out hoping for some bald eagle shots but my only reward for freezing my butt of was this Common Maganser.

Great shot. He looks pretty warm. :cool: Your not late. 6WOW was extended to the end of March because of the crazy weather this year.

Good to see a post from you! Was beginning to think you had dropped off the planet? Let me guess...parenthood, right?

Nice cold weather shot! After looking it for a few minutes the blue tone began to grow on me.
What was your white balance set on?

Hi Nick,

I got close to dropping over from a lack of sleep :frown: with Anél, but she's finally to the point where shes sleeping better. The color temperature for the shot as set by the camera was 5500K. If I do an auto balance on the shot Rawshooter suggest about 12500K. That gives a completely different color scheme ( Which after I've done it I actually like a lot better). Now if I can just figure out how I will add it to the post.

The long I look at this picture the colder I feel. Now that is something that hasn't happened very much so far this winter!!! Glad to hear that you are getting more sleep!!
