I beleive this is a Coopers Hawk. My 8 year old spotted him perched in a window of an abandoned building as we were driving. I have nicknamed my son Hawkeye LOL.

I think you do have the ID right here Ken. They are tough to tell from Sharp-shinned Hawk without knowing the size, but if I had to guess I would say the tail looks right for Cooper's Hawk.
