I would appreciate some help with identification of this bird. After checking my guide the best guess I can come up with is an eastern wood-peewee, which looks pretty close, or one of the empidonax flycatchers but this bird seems to be darker and grayer than the flycatchers in my book and both upper and lower beak look to be dark while the flycatchers have dark upper beak and yellow lower beaks. Between the two I think I will choose the peewee but I would like some input from the experts.
Thanks very much for your help.

you've got the right family. It looks like an Eastern Phoebe to me.
