Another Hawk ID please
Found this one the same day as the broad shouldered. At first I was hopeful It was a peregrine falcon , but after going thru my books I see it's not. Soo.. my guess is a red tailed yet I saw no red tail. Sooo What do you think?

I believe Juvenile Cooper's Hawk. The tear shaped streaking on the breast point to Sharpie or Coopers and the rounded tail points toward Coopers

The first clue that it is not a falcon or a buteo (red-tailed) is the long projection of the tail feathers past the wingtips. This is an accipiter, a Cooper's Hawk.

Definitely juvie Cooper's

Amen. Juvie Cooper's, and, judging its size from the size of the cone remnants still on the branch, and the relative stoutness of the toes and the robust head and beak, I'd feel confident that it's a female ...not a "delicate, gracile" little male!
