Cleaning your gear

I thought people might get a kick out of this - it's a thread on Photonet's Large Format forum of Kelly Flannigan's tale of cleaning a Speed Graphic 4x5 camera that had been under salt water from Katrina for 1/2 hour or so at his summer home. Speed and Crown Graphics had some limitations for landscape and nature photography, but durability wasn't one of them. I particularly like the pic of the shutter curtain hanging on a shower rod to dry.

Steve, what a mess. I'm not sure I would have attempted it. Salt water can sure do some damage.
