Hi NE photographers. Thanks to MLK day I have a nice (and mostly empty) three day weekend. In addition to a couple projects close to home I'm hoping to get out shooting a full day or two in northern NE. Would anyone care to share favorite "rich" shooting locals, within a couple hours of Concord, NH? I am up for driving a bit. I'm open to travelling any direction, and hiking/snowshowing an hour or two -- just looking for ideas outside my usual haunts. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Hi Scott! My suggestion would be to "shoot" for the White Mountains! Right off of Rt. 93 in the Cannon Mountain area, Lincoln, Kancamaugus Hwy. All kinds of photo ops! E-mail Jim Salge...he'll have lots of detailed places to suggest! Sorry I didn't see this sooner! He probably hasn't seen your post either. Have fun!

Thanks Chris. I shoot Franconia Notch and the Kanc a couple times each season. I have a showshoe date with friends to Lonesome Lake in 2 more weekends, so I'm looking for something in a different location. Crawford Notch, hmmm.

Then again, that does put me within range of Polly's. Yumm.

Well, that's easy then! Polly's.......and THEN Crawford Notch! The Zealand Trail (if it's open) or the Dry River Trail would be nice snowshoeing areas.

Sorry I'm late to give ideas...but I've been really into the areas around the north shore of squam recently for researching photo spots. The rattlesnakes, doublehead and other areas around there have great ledges with varied winter views. Good luck shooting!
