introduction/portfolio
I have been an official member of NPN for the past two months, and have appreciated the many comments of its members. I am relatively new to digital photography, am using a Nikon D40X, generally with a 55 -- 200 millimeter VR lens. I live in the Wolfeboro area of New Hampshire, and love to do landscape photography as well as avian.
I am retired, spend a great deal of time on the local lakes, as well as vacationing by the ocean. I am looking forward to being an active member of NPN, and especially to be part of its outings in the spring and fall. I belong to a local camera club, NH Art Association, and do my own framing. Most of my photos are minimally altered with Picasa as I am still trying to the learn the basics of Photoshop elements. I have just acquired a speech/write program since I am very slow at typing, and will be able to provide more feedback regarding my photos and comments. Thanks, Bob G.

Hi Robert,
Welcome to the forums. This place picks up in a few weeks, and I'm very much looking forward to your views and perspective from the lakes region.

Checked out your portfolio, very nice stuff!

hello Christine,

I am replying to your e-mail of one month ago when I introduced myself as a new member of NPN. I am planning a trip in the White Mountains region this week and hope to get an early predawn start as I would like to get some sun rises and also miss the crowds of tourists. I'll probably do most of my shooting off the highways. As hiking along the mountain trails would be little strenuous giving my physical limitations. If I get any really good shots, I'll post them. Thanks for your comments on my" passage to dawn" which was taken in the Wolfeboro area.
