Anyone with some good tips on this area? I am planning to visit and absolutely no idea on what to shoot...pls help!

I used to live there on Wellesley Island. Many islands are private property with summer homes. The best way to see the area is by boat. There are two islands with castles, Boldt Castle which has a very romantic tale (emphasis on the word "tale") attached to it, and Dark Island with Singer Castle. Singer Castle is smaller and has been open for tours only in recent years. It was a private retreat for most of its history. The St. Lawrence Seaway shipping channel runs right through the Thousand Islands so there are opportunities for photographing ships from all over the world as well.
