Any Atlantic City hot spots to shoot??
Hi everyone. I live in NEPA and due to some health issues, etc. I have been unable to get out of the area for a couple years now. However, I believe I have the opportunity to hit the Jersey shore in the AC area at least for two days, maybe three.

I was wondering if anyone could suggest some good shooting spots, sunrise/sunsets, scenery, etc.?? I used to live in the area, but that was many years ago--pre-photo days for me.

I will not be able to travel too far from AC itself, and have limited mobility in my legs, so please keep that in mind. In other words, I can get around fairly, but can't put myself in a big hike or a position that would be risky.

Thanks in advance and all my best!! (Can't wait to get away!)

Bill:

I'm originally from New Jersey, and I used to go often to Brigantine National Wildlife Refuge, outside of AC. You can drive the 8 mile dike system and get great shots of birds and other wildlife without walking. There are great vistas across the salt marshes and bays toward AC and Brigantine for interesting contrasts (nature vs man) in your shots. In the event you don't remember, BNWR is off Route 9 between Smithville and Absecon. I live in Northern Virginia now, but miss the visits to BNWR, especially during fall migrations - thousands of snow geese, brant, and a myriad of ducks. Great place!

Hi Bob and all, just returned from New Jersey and the Absecon Refuge and the amazing Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge. What a great spot and thank you so much Bob for the recommendation. It was perfect to becuase of my legs as to not have to hike!! (But you could have warned about the insects--holy s***!!) :)

Look forward to posting my photos and for anyone going to NJ or who is in NJ and has not been to the Forsythe, pretty intersting spot, especially for shorebirds, etc.
