It's time for another visit to this boreal region of northern New Hampshire, this year instead of Errol/Umbagog. Less productive for moose but better for birds. Any suggestions for back country ponds and wetlands besides the popular East Inlet and the Ct Lakes themselves for birds would be appreciated-even if reached via logging roads.

Jeff, why don't you send an email to Jim Salge or Jim Deasy. There is a spring get together this weekend and if you catch them before leaving for New Hampshire you could possibly join the group. I believe Jim Salge has posted his itinerary here on the NENP forum.

Hi Jeff,

Haven't left yet. I unfortunately don't know the great north woods like I know the whites, wish I could be more help. I did talk to a photographer at one point this winter who knew the roads very well, and I'll see if I can remember who it was and find you some contact info...

Hopefully you'll hear from me, but if not, have a great trip!

Jim
