Hi Everyone,
After talking to many members of NENP it has been decided that we will return to the White Mountains of NH for our spring outing. We will have the outing the weekend of May 15 - 17. I am working on finding a hotel that will suite our needs. We may return to the Top Notch Inn in Gorham, NH where is you may remember we had some folks stay in "Pinkham House" that had a living room that we used for the Saturday evening slide show as well as a gathering place in between photo opportunities.
The White Mts. provide a variety of spring time opportunities including spring wildflowers, Landscapes, waterfalls, and the occasional wildlife.
I am working on finding a hotel so please save the dat and I will post up a hotel by this weekend!
I will certainly be there, as I don't think there is a better place to shoot this time of year than the Northern Whites.
We were at this location two or three years ago as Jim states, and the ops were great despite rain all weekend. There are well over a dozen waterfalls with easy walks from the road within a 20 minute drive. The landscape ops are amazing at sunrise and sunset. I've found a few more moosing areas, and the pondicherry wildlife refuge is an epic birding spot. Should be something for everyone!
The forest floor should have early flowers around Gorham, while early leaf out and mid spring flowers should be out 25 minutes south on the other side of the notches. The variety of floral subjects should be fantastic!
I'll post more specific landscape locations as we get closer!
Hope to see y'all there.

Sorry I'll miss this outing, wanted to see some of Jim's moose areas! I will still be in Southeast, AZ, assuming the new swine flu doesn't close everything down.
