First Wildflowers of 2009...
Diane, Virga and I prodded around North Pawtuckaway Mountain in SENH today in preparation for a hike I'm leading there next weekend, and found a few round lobed hepatica. Sure, the wind was strong and the air too cold for them to open all the way...but they were there!

Not an award winning shot, but one that made me happier than any in some time!!!

Happy Easter, and Happy Spring!!!

Yeah, Spring will come! Still seems very cold to me, but there is hope.

I like the image, especially knowing it was captured on a windy day.

Personally, I would flip it around and have the stem come from the left to make it stronger.

looking forward to seeing more SPRING!

Ooh! This is pretty Jim! Glad to hear that there's progress in the spring department. I think this is pretty and the amount of detail shown in the outer layer is amazing for such a windy day. Good job!

I like this!
I transplanted some white ones to my brookside. I found a huge patch, so I didn't feel bad taking 3 little plants home.
