NENP Butterfly Photo Opportunity - Sunday March 29, 2009 8 – 10 AM
I have arraigned to get a group of photographers into the Butterfly Place in Westford, Mass for a special photo session. This is a place that raises exotic butterfly’s in a fairly natural environment. They will allow us into the facility at 8 AM and we will have the lace to ourselves until they open to the public at 10 AM. This is a great photo opportunity because the large room where the butterfly is cooled down at night and the butterfly’s all settle down to rest. They will stay that way until they warm the room up starting at about 9:45 in time for the public opening. Therefore we have the opportunity to photography these creatures while they are at rest in the cooler air.
The area where they keep the butterfly’s is large but is mostly covered with plants to promote their growth and there are narrow paths leading through the room. I believe that we can only accommodate 12 to 15 photographers per day otherwise we will step on each other and on the butterfly’s (some land on the paths over night and you have to be careful not to crush them!)

When: Sunday Morning March 29th
Time: 8 AM – 10 AM
Cost: $ 18.00 / person Minimum 5 People
We will try and find a place for Breakfast after we are done.

I will confirm the first 12 – 15 people contacting me. If there are a large number of people who want to come and it exceeds the maximum, I will arraign a second date after April 15th so the accounts among us have an opportunity to attend.
I currently have 9 People confirmed for the Butterfly Photo Op on March 29th. There are a few spots left. If this is something you would like to do and you can not make it on the 29th of March, then let me know and I will try set another one a few weeks later in April as long as we can get the minimum number of 5 people.
I missed this posting until it was too late and would be interested if you put together another trip - just depends on the day. Sundays are usually good, but have plans for a number of weekends already.
I'm really interested to see the photos everyone comes up with!
