Presidential Range After Dusk...
Tons of snow in the whites right now...making hiking a slow, slogging process. Fortunately after the latest two feet of powder, I found the trail to Mount Avalon broken out by snowshoes already, and hiked up for sunset.

Things were looking GREAT until suddenly they weren't. Excluding the fact that there was no view of the western horizon, I could barely see a cloud in the sky, but none the less, some high clouds killed the alpenglow.

Despite the killed light, I stayed up for this shot, which while not what I was after, has a certain mood to it.

Would love to hear thoughts and comments!

Nice exposure and the cool blue tones are fantastic. I would consider cropping the bottom 25% for a pano. It's a bit heavy at the base of the mountains. I can commiserate with you after slogging up one of our local mountains last weekend only to have a cloudless sky without much visual interest.
