I never ventured in to this part of the site before, and now I've found it I thought it might be handy for some to point out a few articles I've written on the 200-400 VR. I tried to cover questions that pop up a lot from potential owners, so I hope it's of use to someone out there. I know there are a lot of pro's on this site who may not find it useful or in depth enough compared to a lot of the very good lens reviewers out there, but I wrote it from the point of view of someone who does photography as a serious hobby and just wants to help others gather as much info as they can before making that purchase.

200-400 review/faq

Examples with 1.4x TC

Examples with 1.7x TC

Modification to the CL L2 bag, to give it two shoulder straps (work carried out by fellow member Colin Pickett)

Enjoy :)

I have admired the len's versatility and sharpness, esp w/option of using a 1.4x. It is good to read your review and hear your take of its utility. Nice review, just the right amt of info. THX Ken S
