With the massive waste of $$ being wasted on the "bail out" of the Wall Street Swine, how nice it would be to take 1/1000th of that and provide a fast and fully equipped Sea Shepherd vessel. I know I'm way off-base (and counter-productive) to suggest to equip such a vessel with anti-shipping missles, but the slaughter of these magificent creatures is truly a tragedy... :frown:

I watched it last Friday night. Great show. I too support their cause.

I don't believe in what the whalers are doing but I TOTALLY agree with you Rob. Nothing but a bunch of terrorists.

People will feel strongly on all sides but wishing a ship to be sunk would very likely lead to the loss of human life and that would be an outcome that doesn't help anyone.

The Sea Shepherd organisation does sit at the extreme end of activism. I don't necessarily agree with some of their techniques but in reality, if they weren't out there doing what they are doing, would whaling be in the news? Certainly quiet diplomacy isn't getting anywhere in a hurry.

thanks for the link Jim.

cheers,

André
