Hi all - I enjoy reading the Alaska board and following your adventures. I'm on the exact same north latitude as Kodiak Island, but in northern Scotland. Enjoying autumn just now and thought I'd say hello and pop an image in for you from our stormy atlantic coast. Hope you dont mind me joining you!
Regards
JOHN

Hello John, and welcome! I think our "autumn" is gone from our region till next year, we have a few inches of snow on the ground and the mountains are mostly white now.
This is actually a great idea, similar latitudes, but different longitudes - great comparisons and travel ideas. I've always wanted to get over to your "neck of the woods". Take care.
Cheers David - similar weather too - lots of wet, and usually some good snowfalls, although recent years with global warming have been very mild. We dont have the bears though!
It is really interesting to see the images from over there. As you note, there are some incredible similiarities, and some real differences.
FYI, our autumn is GONE !!!!
It was -8 degrees F here this morning. I'm not in Interior Alaska, either, I'm relatively close to the coast. It's only gotten above freezing a couple of hours over the last week or so. Supposed to warm up and snow, though........
