Tracy Arm visit
Recent cruise to Alaska took excursion into Tracy Arm near Juneau and was rewarded with perfect weather to capture blues in bergs.

This day excursion was the highlight of our Holland America cruise. We took an independent excursion with Adventure Bound in Juneau. Skipper Steve has to be the most knowledgeable guy around about Tracy Arm. He has been doing it for over 10 years and maneuvered through fairly tight pack ice to get us close to Sawyer Glaciers. I highly recommend them.

What a fascinatingly shaped berg. And the large scale (for these parts) shown nicely by the flock of gulls. I checked out some of your other images; glad you got to see some wildlife while you were down there too.

Nice image, the ice shapes remind me of summer thunderstorms, building on the horizon.

Stormy days are the best for photographing bergs and your image shows it. :toast:

This is a wondefull picture. Nice contrast with the dark BG and the light coloured ice. Also the birds make it complete.
