Have any of you been there? There is limited information about this place online. I have a trip planned there this summer and I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions, tips, or recommended spots. Thanks!
Scott Weidensaul's fine book, "A Return to Wild America," has a whole chapter given over to discussing where to go in the Pribilofs. Keep in mind that there are two islands, that they are not the same, and that the facilities are quite different. You can go with a guided group like Wilderness Birding Alaska. The hotel on each island fills up very quickly; unless you go with a tour group at this point you are probably out of luck this year.
It's technically possible to camp on St. Paul, but (1) you need the permission of the Native corporation that owns the island, and (2) the weather there can shred a tent.
