OK, I'm not here to start anything new as you can go to any other photography "gearhead" site and get into a discussion or debate about the the new 5D that we all know is coming at some point. Just wanted to put a post up so see if any of the Pros that frequent here or Amateurs new anything definitive about it: specs, when for sure it might be out?

I'm sure we will see the views of this post up there in numbers! LOL :wavey:

Doesn't this post define trolling? Nothing has been announced...

I heard it will accept EF series lenses...and have a button that lets light reach a sensor through said lens.

New 5D bodies are available at B&H now! It's the 5D replacement that has not yet been announced.

I know what it won't have: one-button mirror lockup. I'm being sarcastic. . . I hope.

Hey Guy

Actually, I think you're misinformed: Dark Charcoal is the term; I understand it's the new black. Black is slimming, or so I'm told - that presumably applies to dark charcoal as well.

Cheers

Carl

"It's like... how much more black can it be? And the answer is... none... none more black."

Hmm....I like that idea Stan....the new "Canon Dave" has a nice ring to it...

I just took delivery of a brand new 5D. Based on that, it's replacement will be out tomorrow, cheaper and better ....

I have hear it's going to be over 4K, Live view, sensor cleaning system, more MP ect. and the price will drop when it's replacement is about to ship. Then I'll want the upgrade for that one. Will it ever end? How good of a camera is good enough?
